Today is a pretty awesome day. Why? Because it’s the release day for women’s literary fiction / humorous romance “Even Hippies Get The Blues”. We’re celebrating by hosting a character interview AND giveaway.

Character Interview

1) Can you tell us a little about yourself? Who are you? What is your role in the story? Certainly. My name is Amy and I am the main character in Even Hippies Get The Blues. Let’s see, I am 22 years old, live on my own, and am a self-professed hippie, dreads and all.

2) What is your favorite hobby?
Oh that’s easy. I love to paint. It is an amazing stress relief and lets me create magnificent scenery out of nothing but pigment and empty canvas.

3) What is the challenge you’re trying to overcome during the story?
Myself. You see, I truly believe that people are inherently good and deserve my love and understanding. Putting that into practice is the hardest thing I have tried to do and… well, it just doesn’t manifest the way I want it to. Murphy and his law decided to paint a target on my back and the people in my life seemed to have teamed up against me. If I come out of this unscathed it will be a miracle. LOL

4) If you could make one wish, what would it be?
This is going to sound extraordinarily corny, but it would be world peace. Okay, you can stop laughing at me now… No, really… I wish people would realize that we are all the same, that we all need the same things in life, and that we all deserve the same respect. I’m not asking for utopia, just no hatred of our fellow man. It is pointless and hurtful and doesn’t get humanity anywhere.

5) Tell us a secret about you.
I have always loved pictures from the top of mountains, but am terrified of heights. I can go up tall buildings and stand at the windows overlooking a city, but if that glass wasn’t there, I’d be curled up in the farthest corner shaking uncontrollably. *shudder* It’s why I won’t go rock climbing with my boyfriend.

“Sometimes peace can only come through chaos.”

Amy thought she had it all together. Her goals were set and she was working toward them seamlessly while practicing her peace-loving philosophy.

Her world of blissful ignorance crumbles when Travis, a blond paramedic with a body that can stop a truck, waltzes in to open her eyes… Just after Murphy, and his pesky law, paint a target on her back.

How many times can a waitress be interrogated in one day? Just how much orange acrylic paint can get caught in dreads before an interview? How does one retain their composure while dripping paint nude in their living room and staring down a trespassing police officer?
